Here is used to indicate that something is near the speaker. For example, “I found my keys here.”
There is used to indicate that something is far from the speaker. For example, “I left my keys there.”
Use of Here with Example:
اردو میں Here کو یہاں ، ادھر کی جگہ پر استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔

| Here is a letter for you. | یہ لیجیے! آپ کا خط۔ |
| Here is your book. | یہ رہی آپ کی کتاب۔ |
| Here we go. | ہم روانہ ہو رہے ہیں۔ |
| Here you are. | اب آپ ٹھیک نکتے پر پہنچے ہیں۔ |
| Here comes the time. | اب مناسب موقع ہے۔ |

(Here is/are / 1st Verb):
| What are you doing here in the still night? | آپ یہاں رات کی خاموشی میں کیا کر رہے ہو؟ |
| What the devil is doing here? | یہاں کیا شرارت ہو رہی ہے؟ |
| Nothing ever happens here. | یہاں کبھی کچھ واقع نہیں ہوتا۔ |
| Here has been an old man. | یہاں ایک بوڑھا آدمی رہ چکا ہے۔ |
| Please come over here. | براہ کرم یہاں آئیے۔ |
| What brings you here? | (یہاں ) کیسے آنا ہوا؟ |
| Place the bunch of keys here. | چابیوں کا گھچا یہاں رکھ دو۔ |
| Here you are, sir. | یہ لیجئے جناب۔ |
| Why do you keep on looking here? | ادھر کیوں دیکھتے رہتے ہو؟ |
Use of There with Examples:
There is/are / any form of the verb:
طور پر There کو زیادہ تر اس وقت جملے میں لگایا جاتا ہےجب خبر یہ جملہ ہو یا جملے میں کوئی فاعل واضع نہ ہو جس سے جملے کا آغاز کیا جائے ایسی حالت میں There کو جملہ کے شروع میں بطور Introductory Subject یعنی متعارفی فاعل کے استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔(ذہن میں رہے کہ اس کا اردو میں کوئی ترجمہ نہ کیا جائے گا)۔
(البتہ اگر وہاں کی انگریزی درکار ہو تو پھر ایک دوسرا There لگا دیا جاتا ہے)مثلاَ:
| There is nobody here. | وہاں کوئی بھی نہیں ہے۔ |
(اب وہاں کے مطلب کے علاوہ دیگر مثالیں ملاحظہ فرمائیں):
| There is the gift on the table. | میز پر ایک تحفہ (پڑا)ہے۔ |
| There is a man at the door. | دروازے پر کوئی آدمی ہے۔ |
| (There is) someone wants you on the telephone. | کوئی آپ سے فون پر بات کرنا چاہتا ہے۔ |
| There is nobody in the room. | کمرے میں کوئی نہیں ہے۔ |
| We are already there. | ہم پہلے اس جگہ پر آئے ہیں۔ |
| (There is) the last bus goes at 8 pm. | آخری بس شام آٹھ بجے جاتی ہے۔ |

| There is the bell ringing for school. | سکول کی گھنٹی بج رہی ہے۔ |
| There is a beautiful baby. | بچہ خوبصورت ہے۔ |
| There is gratitude for you. | آپ کا بہت احسان ہے۔ |
| There comes the difficulty. | مشکل یوں بھی آتی ہے۔ |
| There’s (=There is ) no stopping / holding him. | وہ کسی کے روکے نہیں رکتا/اس کو روکنا کسی کے بس میں نہیں ہے۔ |
| There are many colleges in Lahore. | لاہور میں کئی کالج ہیں۔ |
| There are many flowers of different colors in the garden. | باغ میں رنگا رنگ کے پھول ہیں۔ |
| There, there, never mind. | چھوڑ دو ، جانے دو۔ |
| Speak of devil and devil is there. | شیطان کو یاد کیا اور وہ آ موجود ہوا۔ |
| There is no help for it. | اس کا کوئی علاج نہیں۔ |
| (Proverb): While there is life, there is hope. | (کہاوت) جب تک سانس ، تب تک آس۔ |
| (Passive): There you are mistaken. | یہاں آپ سے غلطی ہوئی۔ |

There is/are / any form of the verb:
| Was there a chance to go ahead? | کیا آگے جانے کا موقع تھا؟ |
| I went there every month. | میں وہاں ہر ماہ جاتا تھا۔ |
| I visited the zoo and spent there two hours. | میں نے چڑیا گھر کی سیر کی اور وہاں دو گھنٹے گزارے۔ |
| There was a crow. He was very thirsty. | ایک تھا کوا۔ وہ بہت پیاسا تھا۔ |
| There lived a woodcutter in a village. | کس گاؤں میں ایک لکڑ ہارا رہا کرتا تھا۔ |
| We lived in a valley. A stream flowed thereby. | ہم ایک وادی میں رہتے تھے۔اس کے ساتھ ایک ندی بہتی تھی۔ |
| I stayed there before in summer vacation. | میں گرمیوں کی چھٹیوں میں پہلے بھی وہاں رہتا تھا۔ |
| (Passive): There you were mistaken seriously. | یہاں آپ سے خاصی حد تک غلطی ہوئی تھی۔ |
| There was a time when you were young. | ایک وقت تھا جب آپ جوان تھے۔ |
| There was great mob in the market. | بازار میں بہت ہجوم ہے۔ |
| There was a popular doctor in my village. | میرے گاؤں میں ایک مقبول ڈاکٹر ہے۔ |
| There was no traffic on the road. | سڑک پر ٹریفک ہے۔ |
| There were almost 70 persons present. | تقریباَ 70 آدمی حاضر تھے۔ |

(There will be / would be):
| There will be no holding for him. | وہ کسی کو روکے نہ رکے گا۔ |
| There will be almost 50 candidates in the hall. | ھال میں تقریباَ 50 امیدوار ہوں گے۔ |
| There will be no one to complain against the MPA. | اس ایم پی اے کے خلاف شکایت کرنے والا کوئی نہ ہو گا۔ |
| He would be there to help and lead you. | وہ گلی کے کونے میں ہوگا۔ |
| There would be no person to mislead you. | وہاں آپ کو گُمراہ کرنے والا کوئی نہ ہوگا۔ |
(Meaning: at this / that place / point etc.)
| I shall agree with your idea. | اس امر میں مجھے آپ کے خیال سے اتفاق ہو گا۔ |
| There, He will soon be ready for your help. | وہ جلد ہی اس مقام پر آپ کی مدد کے لیے تیار ہو گا۔ |
| I shall not bear my mistake there. | میں اس جگہ کوئی غلطی برداشت نہ کروں گا۔ |
